Maharaja Gaj Singh of Marwar (Jodhpur) paid a visit to ACF's Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Institute in Nagaur, Rajasthan in February, to interact with the trainees - who had made a lasting impression showcasing their hospitality skills at Nagaur's World Sacred Spirit Festival.
The World Sacred Spirit Festival is a well know Sufi festival held at the magnificent Ahichatra Garh fort - Nagaur which relives the ancient history of the Turks, Mughals, Persians and Arabic era. To entertain Royals and high dignitaries with food and drinks, students from SEDI Nagaur were given a chance to showcase their hospitality skills in 2016, which continues as a tradition till today.
He stated, "I am very happy to know that the SEDI Nagaur students handle the catering service along with different IHM students at our SUFI festival. I am very impressed with the SEDI centre and the motivation of teachers, students and placement partners."
He addressed the students by sharing that he has also known Ambuja Cement Foundation for its high quality work, but had never experienced it's on ground programmes before - for which he was privileged to witness.
Expressing his pleasure with the functioning of SEDI, he inspired the trainees to push through struggles to succeed in life. He also suggested to initiate training in handicrafts, housekeeping, kitchen production and tourism.
