ACF was felicitated as a Development Catalyst at the
Livelihoods India Summit organized by Access Development Services - recognising
its work over the last almost 30 years in empowering economically marginalised
communities.
To celebrate the phenomenal contribution of NGO's in building
an equitable and inclusive India, Access Development Services felicitates NGOS
that have completed over 25 years in enabling economic empowerment of
communities as ‘Development Catalysts.’ This unique effort highlights and
honours the outstanding work carried out by NGOs in the livelihood creation
space that has enabled economic empowerment via innovation and excellence in
the country.
ACF highlighted
its work on Livelihoods which includes Agro-based livelihoods, agri-allied
services and skill & entrepreneurship development. Through this initiative
it especially focuses on women - giving them a livelihood opportunity and
helping them become breadwinners and contribute to the family. During COVID-19,
many of the small enterprises run by women were majorly affected, for which ACF,
through Self-Help Groups, set up a revolving fund to provide loans to local
business women to sustain their business.
