Celebrated yearly, ACF took part in World Environment Day by organising events with varied stakeholders to create awareness about the environment, conservation and health. This year, ACF contributed to the global theme #OnlyOneEarth with locations organising a variety of activities.

ACF’s skill training centres organized awareness rallies in their respective communities where messages on creating healthy communities, fostering a clean and green environment and promoting sanitation were focused upon. In some locations awareness was also created about organic farming, decomposition, bio plants and the importance of following a balanced diet. Different age groups from the communities participated in drawing, painting and poster making competitions with a special focus on the theme - emphasising on the importance of the environment by displaying various messages through their creativity.

Tree plantation drives were also organized at SEDI with some of the youth planting trees in the SEDI campus itself. Communities also participated in the plantation drive planting more trees in their own backyards with an aim to increase greenery in the area. Around 22 SHG members received training on developing nutritious kitchen gardens in the community along with the distribution of vegetable seeds. 

Apart from the above, online sessions were also arranged for SEDI trainees who are the future generation who can take this cause forward. A few programs were also organized in coordination with the Gram Panchayat.
