ACF supports #OxygenforEveryone

ACF played a crucial role in the #OxygenforEveryone initiative, a Swasth Alliance and ACT grants initiative, and helped provide 167 concentrators to the district administration, Government hospitals and primary healthcare centres in Dadri, Bathinda, Chandrapur, Bhatapara, Sankrail and Raigarh and more are in process.

As the country, especially rural India, grapples with a lack of oxygen, many corporates and NGOs have been uniting to raise funds and procure oxygen equipment to fulfill the urgent need in the country. Swasth Alliance and ACT Grants is one such consortium of healthcare providers who came together to coordinate their resources and response to COVID-19.

The Swasth alliance builds open source products working with the public and private health system to accelerate the adoption of digital health in India. They have been procuring and distributing oxygen concentrators, providing high quality medically validated care protocols and are helping patients access updated and crowdsourced information on COVID-19 - all under the #OxygenforEveryone initiative.

Reknown for its work in rural India, Swasth Alliance reached out to ACF offering to provide concentrators to any centres in need. As ACF regularly maps healthcare centre needs, it made it much easier to procure the concentrators and deliver them to these centres in a one day turnaround.

ACF received immense appreciation from the local administration for the role it played.

“The oxygen concentrators proved helpful in our COVID centre to stabilize the oxygen levels of our COVID-19 patients. For this support our centre offers our thanks to you.” – Block Medical Officer, Raigarh

“During this corona crisis, you have supported the COVID-19 hospitals with oxygen concentrators  for which we are very grateful.” – District Magistrate and Member of Legislative Assembly, Dadri

ACF is co-ordinating with Swasth Alliance and ACT grants to identify more healthcare centres in rural India and provide them with oxygen therapy.
