Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are facing the worst pandemic in recent times. Our lives have changed - uncertainty and concern overwhelm us. The markets have stopped functioning, most are now working from home, and each of us are doing everything possible to keep our families safe. There are so many men and women across our country and the world over too, who are selflessly working round-the-clock to keep everyone safe. This is perhaps one of the biggest challenges the world has ever seen. It is also a crisis replete with stories of inspiration and humanity coming together.
Yet I see hope and optimism. And I know there will be a better world after this crisis. As in the past, the present one too, will be temporary. This allows an unparalleled opportunity to boldly reset our organization, and emerge stronger and more resilient.
This crisis will bring, in each one of us, a challenge for individual and collective leadership. This is the time to show our courage and our capacity to face adversity with hope and determination.
We are part of two strong organisations - Ambuja Cement Foundation & Ambuja Cements Limited - each with an unparalleled legacy, marked with exceptional stories of grit and determination. Our combined experiences will empower us to emerge out of this crisis as a stronger company.
The world after COVID -19 will be a different one. We have already adopted some new ways of functioning, like working from home. Be prepared to embrace the new world as it will demand to change the way we operate and the way we think. All of us should now put our thoughts on how we will thrive in the world once the current crisis has passed.
I urge all our colleagues to display solidarity by fully supporting the Government and each other to tide over the current challenge we are facing.
