Over 1000 people have turned out in style, to celebrate the silver jubilee of Ambuja Cement Foundation at Bhatapara (Chhatisgarh), Chandrapur (Maharashtra) and Rabriyawas (Rajasthan).

Speaking about ACF's journey, Mr. Taparia said, "The founders of our company were very clear to nurture community development as a separate entity so that we gave equal importance to the community's growth as much as to the growth of our business.  This is why ACF was registered as a separate organization. The vision of Mr. Narotam Sekhsaria and Mr. Suresh Neotia is yielding such encouraging results 25 years later and we should all feel proud."
At Chandrapur, The Chief Guest at the event was Mr. Vilas Deskmukh, Chief Marketing Officer, Ambuja Cements Limited. Other special guests were - Mr. Sushilkumar Thakur (Manufacturing Cluster Head-W&S), Ms. Pearl Tiwari (CEO and Director, ACF), Mr. Sushiklkumar Paneri (Unit Head), Mr. Vijay Agrawal (Technical Head, MCW), Mr. Sanjeeva Rao (Commercial Head- MCW) and Mr. Ajitnath Tele (DDM, NABARD, Chandrapur). He said, "I still cannot forget how happy and excited the Sakhis were to wear the uniform provided by ACF. I congratulate ACF for their extraordinary work and achievements not only in health but in other programs too."
Adding to this, Ms. Pearl Tiwari added, "We were apprehensive in the beginning that the community members would handle issues as sensitive as health. However, it was our determination and community's dedication that we could set an example and implement this program on such a large scale."

In Rabriyawas, Mr. G V Rama Krishna - Unit Head congratulated the entire ACF team for the zeal and enthusiasm with which they have set an example of amazing transformation in the villages.

Its was encouraging to hear the voices from the ground too. Ms. Neetu Kumari, SEDI graduate from Chirawa shared her experiences with SEDI and the way her life was transformed after getting a job - that enables her to take care of her children and family.
