A SROI assessment of ACFs development initiatives in Darlaghat, Himachal Pradesh, was conducted by CII Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development (CESD) in 2019. The scope of the study was to calculate social value created by these projects in the last three years, taking into account social investment and beneficiaries impacted for that period. Data was collected across all programs with an overall return on investment of 9.36 ₹ for each 1 ₹ invested, with program wise return on investment:
The objective of the study was to understand and measure the social value created by six projects in 127 villages of Kunihar district of Himachal Pradesh. The study findings highlight that the projects have led to significant long-term impacts for primary and secondary stakeholders residing in core villages of Darlaghat.
Data triangulation reflects that there is transformative change in various impact parameters in the last two decades such as improved availability of water, increased income, accessibility of health services, increased agricultural and milk production and improved biomass in the project area.
