On the occasion of World Health Day on 7th April, ACF organized a drawing competition in a Government school in Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh with the theme: 'Health: Everyone, Everywhere.'
The initiative was organised to highlight the importance of World Health Day and educate students about Universal Health. Universal Health means that every person has access, without any discrimination, to comprehensive quality health services, wherever they need them, without facing financial constraints. Universal health is not just about ensuring everyone is covered, but that everyone has access to care when they need it, wherever they are.
The competition also alerted students to personal hygiene, the benefits of a nutritious diet and the need to maintain a stable sanitation system on the school premises. Students who participated in the initiative gained knowledge on the significance of good health and resolved to conduct such activities in their communities as well.
