Maternal, Child & Adolescent Health

We train and mobilise village health workers and peer educators to increase health awareness, knowledge and health-seeking behaviour.

Antenatal & Postnatal Care (1000 Days)

ACF provides prenatal and post-natal services to reduce high-risk pregnancies and ensure safe deliveries for both baby and mother. We emphasise monthly checkups, nutritional supplements, and awareness for the healthy growth and development of babies; and track children up to 2 years with complete immunisation and IYCF practices.

Home Based Newborn Care

ACF’s Sakhis provide home based neonatal care in remote areas - providing health interventions to pregnant mothers, assisting in deliveries, overseeing the management of newborns and ensuring follow-up during the critical phase of initial 28 days to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates.

Immunisation

We promote the immunisation of pregnant mothers and children up to 2 years, with every child referred for timely immunisation with the aim of achieving 100% immunisation coverage.

Adolescent Health

We provide adolescent health education in schools and create a cadre of peer educators. We also educate on human anatomy and psychosocial changes during adolescence.

Family Planning

ACF provides counselling and support to delay conception among newly married couples, until the couple is mentally prepared. Conducted via home vists, eligible women are provided with information and support to improve the critical indicators of Maternal Child Health in rural India.

Anaemia & Malnutrition

We focus on identifying SAM/MAM children, provide counselling and refer them to NRCs. ACF supports in arranging Iron Folic Supplements in schools for adolescents and women, provides nutrition awareness, demonstrations and establishments of kitchen gardens.
